– Kpop boy group Seventeen wins six awards at the Japan Gold Disc Awards 2024

According to the list of winners announced by the Japan Record Association on the 13th for the 38th Japan Gold Disc Awards, Seventeen succeeded in winning six awards, including the ‘Best Asian Artist’ category, as well as the Asia category for ‘Best 3 Albums (FML, All Ways Yours, Seventeen Heaven),’ ‘Album of the Year (FML),’ and ‘Music Video of the Year (Seventeen World Tour: Ideal Cut in Japan).

Winning the ‘Best Asian Artist’ category, which is awarded to the most active Asian artist of the year, is particularly significant for Seventeen. Moreover, the fact that a single artist monopolized all three spots in the Asia category for ‘Best 3 Albums’ is unprecedented in the history of the awards, adding even more meaning to Seventeen’s achievements.

– Kpop girl group IVE begins ‘Show What I Have’ North America Concert Tour

According to their agency Starship Entertainment, IVE departed on the March 12th to kick off their first world tour, ‘IVE THE 1ST WORLD TOUR ‘SHOW WHAT I HAVE,’ in North America.

Starting from the March 13th, IVE will meet fans on their North American tour at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, Oakland Arena on the 16th, Dickies Arena in Fort Worth on the 20th, State Farm Arena in Atlanta on the 24th, Allstate Arena in Rosemont on the 26th, and Prudential Center in Newark on the 29th.

Despite being their first performance in North America, IVE has already proven their popularity in the region by selling out seats early for shows in Los Angeles and Oakland.

On march 13, DJ Pumpkin, the AOMG CEO, resigned from CEO. DJ Pumpkin, a hip-hop producer, had been serving as the CEO since 2018, following Simon Dominic’s resignation as co-CEO of AOMG. Leading the company as its head for about 6 years, DJ Pumpkin recently announced his intention to step down from his CEO position after AOMG faced controversies related to its kpop artist Meenoi. However, his intention to resign CEO does not related to Meenoi’s issue. He had been considering on resigning CEO position from beginning of year 2024.
